Year of Action

In his 2015 State of the Union address, President Obama said this would be “a year of action” to help ensure opportunity for all Americans.

Following his State of the Union address, the President announced progress on six of the proposals he promised to act on.

The following proposals were laid out:

Raising the Minimum Wage

Helping Americans Retire with Dignity.

Building 21st-Century Workplaces

Investing in High-Tech Manufacturing

Training America’s Workers

Helping the Long-Term Unemployed

Expanding Apprenticeships

Increasing Fuel Efficiency

Cutting Carbon Pollution

Connecting Our Classrooms

Increasing College Opportunity
